I thought it had a decent sampling of French Impressionist paintings ... as noted by others, the erudite and savvy art collecting Cone sisters brought a few masterpieces to Baltimore. However, I am from Philadelphia and here we have (between the Philly Museum of Art, the Barnes Collection, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, etc.) the very FINEST collection of European and American Impressionist, Post Impressionist, Fauvist and Modernist paintings in the Western Hemisphere ... outranking even New York and Washington ... second only to the city of Paris itself!
