The Department of Justice has announced its intention to sever its ties with the American Bar Association (ABA), thereby limiting the association's ability to rate candidates for tenure within the federal judiciary.

Trump also nominated Kyle Dudek, John Guard, Jordan E. Pratt, and Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe to serve as Judges on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and Ed Artau to serve as a Judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to the president of the American Bar Association (ABA) saying that the organization is no longer welcome to weigh in on President Donald Trump's appointments to the courts.
