Fabrizio Romano has delivered a tantalising update on Alexander Isak and whether he wants to quit Newcastle to join.

Liverpool have made an approach to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United. The Merseyside club say no formal offer has been submitted as they are well aware Newcastle’s stance has always been that Isak is not for sale. However, they have communicated their interest to do a deal in the region of £120million.

The Reds are known to be in the market for a striker this summer as they look to upgrade on the misfiring Darwin Nunez, who scored just five goals in 30 Premier League appearances last season as Arne Slot’s side cruised to the Premier League title.
