Flores now faces three felony charges for making fraudulent claims, embezzlement by a public officer, and embezzlement by a public or private officer, according to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.

A former school board president in San Joaquin County has been indicted on felony insurance fraud and embezzlement charges, the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s office announced Tuesday. Former Stockton Unified School District President AngelAnn Flores was arrested in April 2024 after being accused of stealing public funds.

Former Stockton Unified School District Board President Angelann Flores appeared in court on Tuesday after being indicted by a federal grand jury. Flores, a current school board member, was arrested last April and accused of misusing a district credit card.
