Boston Red Sox outfielder/designated hitter Masataka Yoshida has been cleared to start taking live batting practice, per a report from Christopher Smith of MLB.com. He's recovering from offseason surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right arm.

Alex Bregman hit a two-run homer as part of a three-hit day in his spring training debut with the Boston Red Sox, launching a drive over the left-field wall in the second inning against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bregman is also adjusting well to his new organization. Other players have been wowed by his eternal quest for betterment, especially top prospects Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, and Kristian Campbell, who were stunned when the veteran star opted to sit with them at lunch and spend two hours chatting with them on his first day in camp.
