Canada’s inflation rate drops in April. Higher grocery prices offset by removal of carbon tax
“In April, prices for food purchased from stores grew at a faster pace,” Statistics Canada said. “Prices for food purchased from stores have been increasing at a faster rate than the all-items consumer price index (CPI) for three consecutive months.” The increase in the cost of groceries was 3.8 per cent year over year.
