China has called for an impartial probe into the Pahalgam terror attack, urging both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint amidst rising tensions. Foreign Minister Wang Yi conveyed China's support for Pakistan's security concerns and counter-terrorism efforts during a conversation with Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar.

During a phone call with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar, Chinese foreign minister said China is closely following developments after the Pahalgam attack.

Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, in a recent interview with a Russia-based news agency, said Beijing and Moscow could form an international team of investigators
