Former FBI Director James Comey was set to be interviewed by the Secret Service on Friday about a social media post that Republicans insisted was a call for violence against President Donald Trump, according to a law enforcement official.

Democrats and Republicans have both used the term “86,” which means to ban, reject or get rid of something, dictionaries say. Trump administration officials say it means to assassinate.
