Minnesota selected Diamond Miller with the No. 2 pick out of Maryland in 2023, but the wing never quite hit her stride with the Lynx.

The Dallas Wings waived Teaira McCowan to complete a trade with the Minnesota Lynx. McCowan, who joined the Wings in 2022, appeared in 17 games for the team in 2025. The 6-7 center averaged 5.6 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting .537 from the field.

In exchange for Carrington, the Wing will receive Lynx guard Diamond Miller, Lynx guard Karlie Samuelson and Minnesota's 2027 second-round pick.
