The BJP released its first list of candidates comprising 29 names for the upcoming Delhi elections which is due in February. The saffron party has fielded ex-West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma against AAP supremo and ex-CM Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency.

Delhi CM alleges that applications to add 10 per cent extra voters were received between December 15 and January 2.

According to BJP sources, a reason for this delay in announcing candidates was “lack of options” on certain seats.
