Starting this year, the company will put its XPS, Inspiron, and Inspiron Plus devices in the Dell category. That will change the name of the Dell Inspiron to just Dell. The XPS will now be known as a Dell Premium device—and machines currently known as Inspiron Plus will now be called the Dell Plus.

Named brands like XPS and Inspiron will now fall under size categories. Plus, Dell expanded its partnership with AMD.

Dell COO Jeff Clarke said at a media briefing that the naming decision was based on research the company did with "tens of thousands of customers."

So long XPS, au revoir Inspiron, later, Latitude. Dell is officially giving its existing PC brands the boot at CES 2025 and moving to terms that normal people will actually understand: Dell, Dell Pro and Dell Pro Max.
