Formula One has announced a long-term contract extension with the promoter of the Austrian Grand Prix, Projekt Spielberg GmbH & Co KG. This seals the Red Bull Ring 's spot on the F1 calendar until 2041.

Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur will not be at Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix after the Formula 1 team announced he had travelled home for “personal reasons”. The Frenchman will be replaced by Jerome d’Ambrosio on the pitwall in his capacity as deputy team principal.
