The Oregon Ducks saw their magical run through the postseason come to an end on Tuesday night in the matchplay portion of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, losing to the Northwestern Wildcats in the semifinals, one point shy of a championship berth vs. the Stanford Cardinal.

Collin Morikawa never got going at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, and he didn't hold back about his play after the tournament.

Just Thursday, this PGA Championship appeared a major in name only, peculiar names weighing down its prestige, and leaderboard remaining stubbornly odd through Friday—Scottie Scheffler the lone Goliath swimming in a sea of Davids.

Players rave about it when they come every year, but for the course architecture heads and the peripheral golf community, the glass is very much half empty on this week’s PGA Championship venue. So why is the divide so stark?

Although East Brunswick fell short of the team title, Dasha Patel earned her first individual award by shooting a 79, beating out Wardlaw-Hartridge’s Nyah Roccamonte and J.P. Stevens’ Pooja Jade by one stroke.

Benedictine's Bear Dollander shot 10-under par to win the Class 4A state golf title, and Richmond Hill's Ledger Conley won the Class 6A title at 5-under par.
