Reuniting with his longtime leading man Denzel Washington and remaking an Akira Kurosawa crime classic, Lee captures energy and moral complexity, sometimes wildly.

Spike Lee reteams with Denzel Washington for the fifth time in “Highest 2 Lowest.” The film is a new riff on Kurosawa's “High and Low,” set in modern-day New York around a music mogul's moral dilemma.

Right now, the only place to watch Highest 2 Lowest is in a movie theater, when the film opens in select U.S. theaters on August 15. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. That said, if you don’t feel like going to the theater, Highest 2 Lowest will also be available to watch on streaming on Apple TV+ very soon.
