The Los Angeles Police Department said two of its officers were injured after motorcyclists attempted to breach a skirmish line at an ongoing protest in the Alameda and Temple area. Police said two people riding motorcycles hit two officers.

The development comes a day after an appeals court temporarily blocked a judge’s order that directed President Trump to return control of the California National Guard.
