The start of Tuesday’s Chicago White Sox game against the Seattle Mariners at Rate Field will be delayed because of rain, the Sox announced.

The Sox (15-34) didn’t falter late in their win over the Mariners after a one-hour, 35-minute rain delay. Powered by six shutout innings from Adrian Houser, who signed and debuted on the same day, the Sox did just enough to squeak by in Tuesday’s win.

The Mariners also have a dominant closer in Andrés Muñoz, who hasn't allowed an earned run in 20 2/3 innings this season. The bases were loaded when he entered Monday night's 5-1 victory over Chicago, and he struck out Michael A. Taylor for his 15th save.
