Police in New York City are investigating whether the department violated policy by sharing a report with federal immigration authorities that included internal records of a Palestinian woman’s arrest at a protest.

New York City police took 80 people into custody after responding to protests on Columbia's campus, the police department said.

Columbia University requested help from the New York City Police Department to clear pro-Palestinian demonstrators out of the campus library Wednesday evening.
