Thomas, a 2010 first-round pick, joins an illustrious list of former Broncos to be elected in their first year of eligibility. The others: Quarterbacks John Elway and Peyton Manning, wide receiver Rod Smith, center Tom Nalen, tight end Shannon Sharpe, cornerback Champ Bailey, safety Steve Atwater and linebackers Randy Gradishar and Tom Jackson.

The former Georgia Tech star retired after the 2019 campaign, ending a fantastic 10-year career. Tragically, Thomas passed away at the age of 33 in Dec. 2021 from a medical issue that his family believed to be a seizure, per Paul Newberry of the Associated Press.

The late Demaryius Thomas was one of the best wide receivers in Broncos history. He will forever be a member of the team's Ring of Fame.
