Eagles officially announce Bryce Huff trade to 49ersThe Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the Bryce Huff trade to the San Francisco 49ers that was first reported on Friday, May 30. The Eagles waited until after June 1 to make the deal (which is still pending a physical) for salary cap purposes.
The Eagles made a rare panic signing with Bell, as they needed a left tackle for the 2012 season once Jason Peters went down with a ruptured Achilles in April of that year. They signed Bell to a five-year contract, but the deal was essentially for one year as Bell had no guaranteed money beyond the 2012 season.
With the Eagles looking to move him on, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the San Francisco 49ers are willing to give up a mid-round pick at the 2026 NFL Draft to close a deal. That would reunite him with new 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who brought the best out of Huff during their time together with the Giants.
