Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is on trial in New York for sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His ex, Cassie Ventura, took the stand during the first week, with her mom testifying against the rapper during week two of the trial.

Combs, 55, is being tried on charges that he exploited his status as an entertainment executive to force women into drug-fueled "freak offs" with male sex workers and engaged in other abusive acts against people who relied on him for their careers.

Regina Ventura, the mother of Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura Fine, told the court on May 20 she was "physically sick" over the rapper's alleged abuse and said she was once pressured to send him $20,000 after he raged at her daughter. "I was scared for my daughter’s safety," Ventura told jurors.

Regina Venture told a Manhattan federal jury Tuesday she took out a home-equity loan to pay off the rapper after he threatened to release sex tapes of her daughter.
