The body of 1-year-old Blessence Pearl was discovered Saturday morning inside the hearse at West Gadsden Funeral Home. Her mother, 29-year-old Terica Pearl, is charged with capital murder. Charging documents against Pearl made public Monday state that the toddler girl was strangled with a “thick robe string.”

Officials said a Gadsden woman was arrested after her 1-year-old daughter was found dead inside a hearse over the weekend.
