The Lehigh Valley could be in for a snowy, cold winter, if the latest Farmer’s Almanac predictions come to fruition.

The Farmers’ Almanac came out with its 2025–2026 winter weather predictions, and according to what editor Sandi Duncan told USA Today, we’re in for a season that feels like “an old-fashioned winter.” That means cold, snow, a bit of a warm-up—and then, yes, more cold and snow.

Almanac warns that cold and snow could arrive as early as September in some regions. A significant cold snap is expected to grip much of the country in mid-January, followed by another deep freeze in mid-February.
