Saturday, the Clark-less Fever traveled to Chicago to take on the Sky, a matchup that yielded 1.92 million viewers — the third-most of any game in the WNBA this season, the league reported Tuesday. The Fever won, 79-52, returning to .500, while the Sky fell to 2-5.
Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are two of the best young players in the WNBA. However, their rivalry has entered a new dimension this season, especially off the basketball court between their respective fan bases. On Tuesday, A'ja Wilson's friend, Michael McManus, called out Clark fans for looking down on Reese.
Clark said she will miss her fourth consecutive game due to a left quad strain that she suffered during the Fever's 90-88 loss to the New York Liberty on May 24. The Fever have gone 1-2 in Clark's absence and Indiana currently sits in seventh place at 3-4 on the season.
