Months after relocating to North Texas from California, EV delivery van maker Canoo filed for bankruptcy in January.

Canoo was founded in 2017 by two former Faraday Future executives, changing its name from Evelozcity in 2019. That same year, it unveiled its so-called lifestyle vehicle prototype model.

The electric vehicle space has been a fertile ground for innovation, sprouting vehicles from various practical and affordable daily drivers to the polarizing and expensive Tesla Cybertruck.
