The superhero movie world just got a big reminder: it’s far from dead. Marvel Studios and Disney’s latest film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is making serious waves, pulling in about $23 million in Thursday previews that kicked off as early as 2PM.

In a post on the official “Avatar” X account, it was revealed that the first trailer for James Cameron’s “Avatar” threequel will screen exclusively in theaters before showings of Marvel’s “Fantastic Four.”

Matt Shakman is the director of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. While Shakman only has one feature movie directing credit on his resume (the 2014 movie Cut Bank ), he does have Marvel experience, having directed all nine episodes of the Marvel Disney Plus series WandaVision. Now he’s getting to officially play in the MCU sandbox.

The final trailer for First Steps doesn’t really tell us much that we didn’t already know. Galactus is coming and the Silver Surfer is here to foreshadow his arrival. We still don’t see more than the planet-eating invader’s foot in this trailer,
