Mindy Kaling is setting the record straight on a big “misconception” regarding her friend Meghan Markle. The “Mindy Project” star told Time magazine all about her appearance in Meghan’s forthcoming Netflix series — and corrected a misbelief about the Duchess of Sussex.

The “Mindy Project” alum called the Duchess of Sussex “a very generous woman” while reflecting on appearing on Netflix’s “With Love, Meghan.”

The producer and Office alum gave a sneak preview of her episode on With Love, Meghan, the duchess’s upcoming Netflix reality show.

"Would I want to come to Montecito and have her cook for me? I wanted to get taken care of in that moment of my life," Kaling said, in an interview, of the request that came while she was on maternity leave.
