This is a big improvement over the current volume mixer location, which can be found by right-clicking on the volume icon and choosing “Open Volume mixer.” But the improvements don’t end there.

Another way to jump directly into the sound settings is to right-click the volume icon in the taskbar and choose Sound settings. From that same menu is Open volume mixer, which will do just that.

Check the volume level within Windows. Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and then select Open Volume mixer. Unmute the device if it's muted and check the volume level.

To access Volume Mixer, all you need to do is access the sound icon and choose the "Open Volume Mixer" option.

Here, you need to check these apps in the Volume Mixer and/or close all background apps. These apps may be the reason why your computer is playing music randomly without anything else open.

If that doesn’t work, check Windows. Left-click the volume icon in the system tray and verify that the audio is not muted and is turned up. Right-click the volume icon and click Open Volume Mixer.
