New York City Public Schools, the nation's largest school district, is expanding its student cellphone ban to include any "internet-enabled" devices such as tablets and smartwatches.

Colorado law enforcement officers cited more than 200 drivers for using cellphones while behind the wheel during the first six months of the state’s new ban on drivers’ hand-held use of phones.

"I cannot see what sort of benefit it would be for a child to text or be on the internet during class," she added.
