Believe it or not, a shark may have taken a serious bite out of a swimmer at a popular Long Island beach this week. According to a release from Parks, Recreation and Historic preservation, a 20-year-old woman was at the Central Mall beachfront at Jones Beach State Park

The woman had minor cuts to her left foot and leg after being bitten on Wednesday. She was transported to a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, officials said.
