Dustin Poirier confirms Lil Wayne will partake in UFC 318 walkout

After hinting at the possibility in recent weeks, Poirier (30-9 MMA, 22-8 UFC) confirmed Wednesday that rap legend Lil Wayne will accompany him during his final UFC walk. Lil Wayne's presence won't deter Poirier from sticking with his classic walkout music, however. Poirier will still walk to James Brown's "The Boss" as he long has.

Poirier announced that Platinum rapper, Lil Wayne will be walking him out for his championship bout against Max Holloway. Lil Wayne is also a Louisiana native. He made the announcement during a pre-fight press conference when asked if Lil Wayne would be walking him out. Poirier stated, “Wayne is walking me out. 100 percent”.
