A controversial immigration detention center in South Texas used by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to hold families is set to re-open, following a push from President Donald Trump to carry out mass deportation operations in his first weeks in office.

The Biden administration shuttered the Dilley facility last year because of high operating costs. It’s expected to hold immigrant families under the Trump administration.

The Trump administration is reopening a sprawling detention center in South Texas for migrant families facing deportation, according to the private prison contractor that runs the facility.

This will be the third meeting this season between Texas and South Carolina, which shared the SEC championship during the regular season.

The Gamecocks are 17-1 in SEC Tournament games played in Greenville dating back to 2017, making Bon Secours Wellness Arena a home away from home of sorts. USC’s sole loss in that span came in the 2019 SEC quarterfinals against Arkansas.
