Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter lead the charge of the British women at Wimbledon next week, where home hopes are as high as they have been for many years. While landing the Venus Rosewater Dish seems a little far-fetched, Britain can now boast three women in the world’s top 50 when you throw Sonay Kartal into the mix as well.

Emma Raducanu has assured tennis fans that she will play at Wimbledon despite another injury scare. The British no1 was dumped out of the Eastbourne Open by Maya Joint in the second round, with the seventh seed surrendering a set-advantage to lose 4-6 6-1 7-6 (4) at Devonshire Park.

Raducanu just cannot seem to get past Iga Swiatek. The Polish star has slumped down the WTA Tour rankings and enters Wimbledon as just the eighth seed, but remains as dominant as ever against the Brit.
