After India's monumental win at the Champions Trophy 2025, legendary West Indies fast bowler Andy Roberts has joined the bandwagon of ex-players who have slammed the champions' schedule in the tournament.

Andy Roberts has stated that the ICC will find a way to "satisfy India" even if they say there should be no no-balls and wides in the future.

South Africa won the first edition of the ICC Champions Trophy in 1998, then known as the ICC Knockout Trophy. A total of nine teams participated in the tournament that was held in Bangladesh. South Africa reached the final by defeating England and Sri Lanka in the quarter-finals and semi-finals by six wickets and 92 runs respectively.
