The FA Cup could yet be a way for Manchester City to finish a disappointing season with a trophy. City needed two goals from teenager Nico O’Reilly to come from behind and beat second-division side Plymouth Argyle 3-1 to reach the quarterfinals of the only competition it still has a chance to win.

Crystal Palace booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals but the victory over Championship side Millwall was overshadowed by a serious injury to Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta who was taken to hospital following a horrendous sixth-minute challenge by Liam Roberts that led to the Millwall goalkeeper being sent off.

The FA Cup fifth round weekend continues in south east London as local rivals Crystal Palace host Millwall face off at Selhurst Park. There may be just eight miles separating the two teams, but this is just the second meeting between the neighbours in 12 years.
