Thirty-year-old Rumeysa Ozturk, who is from Turkey, was taken into custody as she walked along a street in a Boston suburb on March 25.

The student, Rumeysa Ozturk, was detained by ICE agents in Massachusetts, driven to Vermont and flown to a detention center in Louisiana, where the government was trying to argue her court case.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security accused Ozturk, a Turkish national, of "activities in support of Hamas."

Ozturk was suddenly arrested by plainclothes federal agents Tuesday in an incident captured by a surveillance camera.
