Anderson was arrested by Russian authorities late last year, after travelling from London Luton to Poland, then entering Ukraine to join the fight against Russia.

Mr Anderson, who was caught in November in Russia’s Kursk region, was sentenced to serve the first five years of his term in prison and the remainder in a penal colony in “strict” conditions.
