The Knicks pushed the Celtics to the brink of elimination on Monday, but much of the conversation after Game 4 of the Eastern semifinals centered around Jayson Tatum's injury.

Down by 14 points in the third quarter of Game 4, the Knicks came roaring back for another improbable, instant-classic victory over the defending champion Boston Celtics.

For New York, Jalen Brunson (27 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns (21 points) were the only Knicks above 12 points as the team struggled with 20% from three and 40% from the field. Jayson Tatum (22) and Jaylen Brown (19) combined for 41 points on 15-of-38 shooting (39.4%) for Boston with most of the damage coming in the first half.

The St. Louis native went down late in the game with a non-contact injury that had him writing on the ground in pain.

Shot selection, transition opportunities and the effectiveness of the starting centers figure to be key factors in Game 4 between the Celtics and Knicks.
