Congressman Mike Lawler on Thursday came out against Haiti's inclusion on President Trump's travel ban. The move prevents the entry of foreigners from 12 countries who are seeking to come to the U.S.

Trump's 2025 travel ban blocks Haitians from entering the U.S., citing high visa overstay rates and national security risks.

“Unfair” was the refrain from many advocates and Haitian immigrants. With the Boston area home to the third-largest Haitian community in the country, they’re expecting to see a major impact on the thousands of people who are already in Massachusetts, too.
