Five people have been rescued from an alligator-infested swamp three days after their plane crashed in the Amazonian jungle in Bolivia.

A plane crash forced five survivors in the Bolivian Amazon to huddle on their partly submerged aircraft while alligators and anacondas circled around them.

Everyone on board – three women, a child and the 29-year-old pilot – were rescued from their perch atop the capsized plane in "excellent condition," officials said.
