Firefighters in Burbank have stopped the forward progress of the Bethany Fire along the hillside neighborhood.

Burbank's Bethany Fire threatened homes but was contained at 8 acres, with evacuations lifted and trails closed.

The "Bethany Fire" broke out near the intersection of Bethany Road and Amherst Drive on Tuesday, June 10. By 6 p.m., the Burbank Fire Department reported that the firefighters had stopped the fire's forward progress. According to Cal Fire, the Bethany Fire burned about eight acres.
