The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) calls it the largest fentanyl bust they've ever made, and New Mexico played a major part. They seized more than two million pills in Albuquerque alone, and federal agencies say the drug ring responsible spanned five states.

More than a dozen people were arrested and a "record-breaking" quantity of fentanyl seized across several states in a blow to one of the largest and "most dangerous" drug cartels in America, authorities say.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said the man was leading a drug trafficking organization across several states.
