Eddie Genborg, the Detroit Red Wings' second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, played goalie before deciding he'd have more fun as a forward.

The Detroit Red Wings selected right wing Eddie Genborg, a right wing from Linkoping HC of the Swedish Hockey League, Saturday in the second round of the NHL draft. Genborg (6-2, 205) had two goals and no assists in 28 games last season as a teenager playing against men in Sweden’s top league.
