Allegations that Fairfax County Public Schools employees helped students obtain abortions without their parents’ consent have drawn Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s attention after circulating for days on right-wing media.

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin is investigating reports that a local public school facilitated and funded abortion procedures for minors without informing the parents.

Governor Glenn Youngkin has directed the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation to launch a full criminal probe into allegations that Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) staff arranged for minors to receive abortions without parental consent and potentially used public funds to pay for them.
