Following a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, border areas in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat are largely peaceful. Schools are reopening and daily life is resuming in many districts,

J-K CM Omar Abdullah visited Poonch, said it was safe for the evacuated residents to return; but the police had earlier warned: "Do not return to frontline villages."

Following the attack, the blackout in Jodhpur, originally scheduled to begin at midnight, was implemented immediately. Blackouts were enforced in Barmer, Sriganganagar, and Phalodi also.
