An emboldened President Donald Trump is increasingly using his bully pulpit to stamp his imprint on Washington, DC — pushing the bounds of executive power to reshape a city that once snubbed him.
Jeffrey Finn, a Broadway producer who has overseen theater programming at the Washington venue since 2016, will leave next month.
President Trump is hosting the Kennedy Center Honors himself, perhaps (in part, at least) because literally no one else is left. Recent hosts of the program include Queen Latifah (2024) and Gloria Estefan (2023) — so Trump will fit right in, obviously.
D.C. gave residents a day’s notice to remove their belongings. The clearing comes as the Trump administration has vowed to crack down on homeless encampments in the city.
