The Met Eireann said gusts of up to 182km/h were recorded, while ESB said more than 700,000 people are without power

Met Eireann issued a series of Red Weather Warnings for all of Ireland that came into effect at various times through Friday morning. Red Weather Warnings are extremely dangerous and destructive and pose a danger to life. Record wind speeds have been recorded from Storm Eoghan and already over 500,000 homes in Ireland are without power.
