Larry Demeritte, whose underdog story inspired horse racing fans across the world prior to Kentucky Derby 2024, died Monday in Louisville. He was 75.

The seniors from Westlake High School took the afternoon to visit teachers, younger students and the elementary schools that gave them their educational foundation.
