Jun 29, 2017 · The Porsche 911 GT2 RS features Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) as standard. The front wings, wheel housing vents, outer shells on the Sport Design exterior mirrors, air intakes on the rear side sections and parts of the rear end are made from carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFR), as are many of the interior components.

Feb 6, 2018 · The GT2 was built to participate in the class that held the same name, while I suppose that the GT3 nameplate was chosen because GT1 and GT2 were already in use at the time, so the GT3 nameplate was assigned to signify that the car is a road going version of the racing car (funny enough that the GT3 racing class didn't exist until 2005).
